NUKAGA GALLERY is pleased to announce our participation in ART TAIPEI 2017.
We would like to introduce Yu-ichi INOUE’s innovative calligraphy art this year. Unlike traditional calligraphy, his dynamic calligraphy works are regarded as important comparable to American Abstract Expression and European Informel. With the retrospective exhibition A Centennial Exhibition INOUE Yu-ichi last year in 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Japan, his works has drawn international attention in recent years. Moreover, well-known artist Shiro Tsujimura’s pottery works, Takeo Yamaguchi’s abstract oil paintings, Atsuko Tanaka’s small works, and colorful object works by contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama will be also exhibited in our stand this time. We hope to introduce these historically important Japanese artists to international audiences.

2017台北國際藝術博覽會，NUKAGA GALLERY將展出日本戰後藝術家井上有一的作品。不同於日本以往的傳統書道，井上有一(1916-1985)大膽而又創新的創作書法，首次讓書法能與同時代美國的抽象表現主義，以及歐洲的不定形藝術派同樣受到世界性的關注。去年於日本金澤21世紀美術館的百年生誕展覽，又令他的國際知名度更上一層樓。除此之外，這次也會帶來以自由不拘為創作風格的陶藝家辻村史朗(1947-)的作品，日本戰後抽象繪畫先驅的山口長男(1902-1983)油畫作品，另外具體派女性藝術家田中敦子(1932-2005)的小幅作品，以及草間彌生(1929-)的小型立體作品，屆時也將展出。期許藉由這一次的展覽簡單介紹日於戰後至今佔有重要地位的藝術家們。
