コラージュや細密表現、戯画的描写を使いながら、社会へのアイロニーをユーモラスに表現した作品を展開し、生涯前衛アーティストとして活躍した桂ゆき。10月10日にて、桂は生誕110周年を迎えました。NUKAGA GALLERYではこれを記念し特別展示を行います。皆様ぜひご高覧ください。
期間中の11月2日から5日までは、大倉集古館、東京都内の美術館やギャラリー計50カ所他にて、アートウィーク東京が開催されます。一つ前の投稿でご紹介した桂ゆき《あじさい》も展示される予定ですので、そちらも合わせてお立ち寄りください。
October 10th will mark the 110th birthday of Yuki Katsura, a pioneering avant-garde artist whose lifelong practice expressed the ironies of society through humorous collages, caricatures, and finely detailed works. NUKAGA GALLERY will be commemorating the artist with a special exhibition of her works.
Art Week Tokyo will take place from November 2 to 5, with exhibitions at the Okura Museum of Art and 50 other museums and galleries in Tokyo. Katsura’s “Ajisai,” which was introduced in the previous post, will also be on display, so don’t miss it!
